Hey everyone, I'm facing some serious issues with my Social Media Marketing (SMM) work. Lately, engagement rates on my client accounts have dropped drastically. I used to get decent results, but now it's like my posts are invisible. Algorithms changed, maybe? Anyone else experiencing this?

You're not alone! Social media platforms tweak their algorithms frequently. Have you analyzed your recent content? Maybe your posts are not as engaging as before, or perhaps your audience preferences have changed.

Exactly. Also, have you checked if your accounts have been shadowbanned? Sometimes, repeated content, excessive hashtags, or aggressive promotions can trigger flags.

Another factor could be competition. More people are jumping into SMM, and if your strategy isn’t evolving, it might not stand out anymore. Have you tried running A/B tests with different content formats?

Thanks for the input! I haven’t checked for a shadowban yet. Any quick way to do that? And about A/B testing—what's the best way to go about it?

To check for shadowbanning, try searching for your posts while logged out or ask someone who doesn’t follow you to check if they can see your content. As for A/B testing, post variations of the same content at different times and analyze which gets better reach and engagement.

One major change I noticed is that video content and reels are getting prioritized. Are you using enough short-form videos? Static images and text posts don’t perform as well anymore.

@happyboy is right. Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and even Facebook are favoring short-form video content. You might want to repurpose your content into short, engaging clips.

This is great advice! I’ve mainly been posting image-based content with some carousels. I’ll start incorporating more video content and see how it performs.

Also, engagement is a two-way street. Are you actively engaging with your audience? Replying to comments, participating in discussions, and even DMing followers can help boost visibility.
