Looking for Advice on Monetizing a Travel Guide & Attractions Website

I've owned the domain ThailandWelcome since 2004, but I’ve never actually developed any content or launched a website for it.

Recently, I’ve been thinking about finally putting it to use—especially by leveraging AI-generated content to help build out a travel-focused site.

What I really need now are ideas for affiliate programs or monetization strategies that would suit this domain well.
 
I’ve only recently launched my own travel website, so I can’t say for sure that my suggestions will work perfectly, but here’s what I’ve noticed others doing:
  1. Many wait until they reach around 10,000–20,000 monthly visitors before adding Google AdSense ads to their site. Platforms like Ezoic offer similar monetization options too.
  2. Some join affiliate programs related to travel, like TravelPayouts, to earn commissions through bookings or services.
  3. Others add products from Amazon, eBay, or even Temu—things like sunscreen or travel gear—to generate some extra income.
